Product Category: Auxiliary Equipment
Co-extrusion changes the cooling equation more than most buyers expect, because two extruders, a combining feedblock and a wider calender all reject heat at the same moment. The VihoX 100 Ton tower was framed for precisely that combination, circulating 78.1 m³/h and standing roughly 2,900 mm across so the fill area can absorb the extra load.
Two point two kilowatts drives the axial fan, which shifts 42,000 m³/h of air across the pack. Water distribution follows the rotary sprinkler principle used throughout the range, spreading flow evenly so no section of fill dries out. The station is moulded from glass-reinforced plastic over an integrated basin, and a float valve maintains the working level automatically as evaporation and drift remove water.
Duty points are stated for entering water at 37 °C and leaving water at 32 °C, giving a 5 °C range at a 27 °C wet-bulb design temperature. Hotter, more humid climates should be checked against the next frame up.

An 11 kW pump covers the 82.005 m³/h design flow at the quoted 20 to 30 m head. Because co-extrusion plants usually run several temperature zones, we suggest splitting the return into a main header and branch lines with individual valves, so the calender stack and the mould manifold stay balanced when one of them changes duty.
Two melt streams plus a wider calender simply reject more heat than an 80 ton frame can shed at the same approach. The 100T carries that combined duty without creeping above your process window.
Typically the calender stack, the embossing roll and two or three mould stations. Add balancing valves so a change on one branch does not disturb the others.
The 2.2 kW motor turns a wide blade set slowly, so the acoustic signature is closer to a smaller tower than its air volume would suggest.
Only if its duty point matches roughly 82 m³/h at your measured head. An undersized pump will pull the whole tower off its rated approach.
Clean, reasonably soft water is best. Hard water forms scale on the fill and basin, which reduces heat transfer over time.
A bypass keeps flow moving through the pump during short stoppages. For long shutdowns, isolate and drain the tower instead.
A single tower on a prepared pad is normally running the same day, provided water, power and the pump skid are ready on site.
Yes. Most customers order the tower and matched pump together, and we can advise on the header and valve arrangement for your layout.
Share the melt output of each extruder, the number of downstream stations and the space available, and we will confirm the 100 Ton selection with the margin calculated rather than assumed. Useful background reading: our sheet extrusion line range and the rest of the auxiliary equipment we build.

A 15HP air-cooled chiller covers the temperature-critical circuits while this frame handles bulk rejection, and compressed air for the same line comes from a 50HP PM VSD screw compressor. The usual host machine is a three-station thermoformer or a larger extrusion train.
