Description

VihoX-660-A Automatic Plastic Cup Making Machine

The VihoX-660-A is a Type A automatic plastic cup thermoforming machine for disposable cup production. It feeds plastic sheet roll, heats it, forms the cup with a matched mold, cuts the cup from the sheet and stacks the finished cups in one continuous sequence.

It is the entry model of the VihoX series and is built for small and medium cup sizes — water cups, yogurt cups and jelly cups — where stable daily output and simple maintenance matter more than maximum forming area. Sheet is fed as finished thermoforming sheet roll; the machine does not process plastic granules directly.

Machine Type: Type A (Upper Cylinder + Lower Hydraulic)

The VihoX series is available in three drive configurations. Selecting the type is a question of product precision, output requirement and budget — not simply of price.

Type Upper mold drive Lower mold drive Sheet feeding Best for
A (this model) Cylinder Hydraulic Standard Entry-level volume production; simple structure, low maintenance cost
B Servo Hydraulic Standard Higher forming precision and stability; products with strict wall-thickness requirements
C Servo Servo Servo Full servo control; the most stable cycle and lowest energy loss for long continuous runs

The VihoX-660-A uses the Type A configuration: a cylinder-driven upper mold with a hydraulic lower clamp. It is a practical choice for buyers who need reliable cup output, straightforward operation and low running cost, and who plan to add cup types by changing molds rather than by upgrading the machine.

How to read these figures

  • Speed is a cycle reference under suitable conditions, not guaranteed output. Real output depends on the cup, material, sheet thickness, mold cavities, heating stability, cutting, stacking and operator practice. Theoretical pieces per hour = actual cycles per minute × mold cavities × 60, then deduct changeover, adjustment, release, stacking and scrap rate.
  • Total Power (Max.) is the installed maximum; Power Consumption is the reference running consumption. The two describe different things and should not be swapped.
  • The power supply is customizable — machines are built for the buyer’s voltage and frequency, such as 220V/60Hz, in addition to the standard AC380V/50Hz/3-phase configuration.

What Cups Can the VihoX-660-A Produce?

  • Disposable water cups
  • Yogurt cups
  • Jelly cups
  • Small dessert and sauce cups
  • Small round food containers within the 660×320 mm forming area and 180 mm forming depth

Cup diameter, cup height and cup weight are decided by the mold. Send us your cup photo or drawing and we will confirm whether the VihoX-660-A covers it — if your cup is larger or deeper, the VihoX-720 or VihoX-750 family is the correct direction, and we will tell you so directly.

Materials: PP, PS, PET, PVC, PLA

Material Typical cups Notes
PP Water cups, hot drink cups, general disposable cups Good toughness and heat resistance
PS Jelly cups, lightweight food cups Good thermoforming performance
PET Clear cold drink cups, transparent packaging cups High transparency; needs suitable sheet quality and temperature control
PVC Industrial and special applications Confirm local regulations and market requirement before selection
PLA Eco-oriented cups and containers Narrower processing window; drying and temperature control must be confirmed by trial

How the Machine Works

Sheet roll → sheet feeding → heating → forming → cutting / separation → cup stacking → counting and packing

Heating stability drives cup quality; forming decides wall distribution; cutting decides edge quality; stacking decides whether the machine can actually run at speed. A fast former combined with unstable release or manual collection simply moves the bottleneck downstream.

Mold and Auxiliary Equipment

The mold is not an optional accessory — it defines cup size, cavity number, output, product weight, edge quality and production cost. Cup molds are customized to your cup top diameter, bottom diameter, height, weight and target output.

More cavities are not automatically better: the cavity layout must still allow even heating, reliable release and clean cutting. A stable layout is better than an overloaded one.

Matched auxiliary equipment for a VihoX-660-A line typically includes a 3–5 HP chiller for cooling, an air compressor sized to the actual air consumption and duty cycle, and cup stacking, counting and packing equipment matched to your automation level. Existing equipment can be reused when it is technically suitable.

Building a Complete Cup Production Line?

A stable disposable cup production line normally combines sheet production, cup forming, molds, cooling, air supply, stacking, packing and scrap recycling. If you want to control sheet thickness, width, colour and formulation — or reuse edge trim — a sheet extrusion line may be worth evaluating; if you already buy sheet roll from a stable supplier, the cup machine with the right mold is enough.

FAQ

What is the forming area of the VihoX-660-A?
660 × 320 mm, with a maximum sheet width of 680 mm and a maximum forming depth of 150 / 180 mm.

How many cups per hour can it produce?
There is no single fixed number. Theoretical output = actual cycles per minute × mold cavities × 60; real output then depends on your cup size, material, sheet thickness, mold layout and stacking stability. Send us your cup details and target capacity and we will calculate the expected range for your configuration.

Which materials can it run?
PP, PS, PET, PVC and PLA sheet in 0.3–2.0 mm thickness. Material choice affects heating settings and mold design, so confirm the material before the mold is made.

Can it run from plastic granules?
No. This machine uses finished thermoforming sheet roll. To produce cups from raw material, an upstream sheet extrusion line is required.

Is 15–35 cycles/min the guaranteed output?
No. It is the cycle reference under suitable conditions. Guaranteed production depends on the product, material, mold and operating conditions.

What is the difference between Type A, B and C?
Type A uses a cylinder upper mold with hydraulic lower clamp; Type B replaces the upper mold with a servo; Type C uses servo control for both upper and lower mold plus servo sheet feeding. B and C are selected when forming precision, cycle stability or energy efficiency requirements are higher.

Can the mold be customized for my cup?
Yes. Send your cup drawing or sample with diameter, height, weight and target output, and the mold will be designed to match this machine’s forming area and depth.

What information do you need before quoting?
Cup photo or drawing, top diameter, bottom diameter, height, cup weight, material, sheet thickness, target capacity, factory voltage and country, and whether you need a single machine or a complete production line.
