Product Category: Auxiliary Equipment
At the top of the range sits the VihoX 150 Ton tower, built for plants where a PET parallel twin-screw line or a high-output multilayer PP/PS train runs around the clock. Its 117 m³/h nominal circulation and 2,900 mm shell give the fill enough surface area to hold approach temperature even when ambient humidity peaks.
The 2.2 kW axial fan moves 57,000 m³/h across the packing, the highest air volume in the series. A rotary sprinkler assembly wets the PVC fill uniformly from above, eliminating the channelling that fixed nozzles can develop over time. Casing and basin are both moulded glass-reinforced plastic, and make-up water enters through a float valve that reacts the moment the level drops.
Selection is based on a 27 °C wet-bulb design temperature with water entering at 37 °C and leaving at 32 °C, a 5 °C range. Where summer wet-bulb runs higher, allow a larger frame.
| Parameter | VihoX 150T Rating | Plant-Level Benefit |
|---|---|---|
| Nominal water flow | 117 m³/h | Suits PET twin-screw and multilayer PP/PS lines |
| Pump flow to order | 122.85 m³/h | Margin for a large, branched distribution network |
| Fan motor | 2.2 kW | Largest air duty in the range, same motor size |
| Air volume | 57,000 m³/h | Protects approach temperature in humid climates |
| Blade diameter | Approx. 1410 to 1800 mm | High airflow without high rotational speed |
| Port size | DN150 | Minimal pressure loss at high flow rates |
| Dry weight | Approx. 580 kg | Heaviest frame, plan lifting equipment early |
| Operating weight | Approx. 1,700 kg | Have your civil engineer check slab capacity |
| Tower size | Approx. Ø2900 × H2560 to 2670 mm | Tallest body in the series, allow service headroom |
| Matching pump | 15 kW centrifugal | Single set with generous duty reserve |
The recommended 15 kW pump delivers 122.85 m³/h at the standard 20 to 30 m head, which leaves room for the longer pipe runs typical of a large hall. DN150 ports accept standard flanges. Plants running PET lines often add a second tower later rather than oversizing one frame, so tell us your expansion plan when you enquire.
When a PET parallel twin-screw line or a high-output multilayer PP/PS train runs continuously and the cooling loop must hold approach through the hottest part of the year.
Allow at least the fan cowl height plus working space for blade inspection, because this is the tallest body in the range.
Many plants add a second tower in parallel as output grows. That approach preserves the original frame and divides the load between two basins.
Start from the 20 to 30 m recommendation, then add the calculated loss of your real pipe route, including elbows, valves and the height difference.
For continuous duty, basic treatment to control scale and biological growth pays for itself by keeping the fill and basin clean.
The entire shell and basin are moulded glass-reinforced plastic, so there is no painted surface to rust or flake in a humid hall.
It ships assembled in a single crate. Provide a forklift or crane rated for the dry weight plus a margin for the packing.
Yes. We regularly supply the tower, the matched pump and the interconnection advice as one package so the parts are guaranteed to suit each other.
Tell us your line type, target output and site climate, and our engineers will confirm whether a single 150 Ton frame or a two-tower arrangement gives you the better long-term result. See also our PET and PP/PS sheet extrusion lines and the full auxiliary equipment catalogue.

The largest frame in the range is usually specified with a 30HP air-cooled chiller for precision circuits and a 100HP PM VSD screw compressor for plant air. Heat loads at this scale come from sheet extrusion lines and multi-line thermoforming halls.
