Product Category: Auxiliary Equipment
The VihoX 800 Inline Thermoforming Scrap Crusher (1-to-1) is an automated edge-trim recovery installation engineered to connect directly downstream from a single plastic cup making machine or three-station thermoformer. Featuring an 800 mm cutting chamber width (crushing chamber dimensions: 800×250 / 330 mm) and a specialized motorized traction roller infeed running at 5 to 40 m/min, this machine pulls the perforated skeletal web continuously from the forming tool without manual intervention.
Operating with an 11 kW main cutting motor, a 1.5 kW variable-speed traction drive, and an integrated 4–5.5 kW pneumatic air blower, the VihoX 800 handles rigid packaging materials (PP, PS, PET, PLA, and HIPS) with scrap gauges spanning 0.2 to 3.5 mm, yielding 300–500 kg/h. Fitted with 4 stationary and 6 rotary blades in high-alloy DC53 tool steel and quiet sound-attenuated housing (65–85 dB), it instantly blows dust-free regrind flakes straight back into the main extruder hopper for closed-loop zero-waste manufacturing.

The VihoX 800 inline crusher features an intelligent dancer arm or ultrasonic loop sensor that constantly monitors sheet tension between the parent thermoformer and the granulator infeed. As the thermoforming mold cycles, the 1.5 kW inverter-driven traction rollers accelerate or decelerate smoothly, eliminating web snapping, tearing, or curling. Once sheared inside the cutting chamber, the 4–5.5 kW blower immediately vacuums flakes through the screen and pneumatically conveys them through overhead stainless steel tubing back to the extruder hopper.
In conventional plants without inline granulation, skeletal trim emerges from thermoformers onto rewinding reels or floor collection bins, requiring dedicated labor to carry, store, and manually re-feed offline granulators. The VihoX 800 inline crusher automates this entire chain, eliminating material contamination, saving floor warehouse space, and reducing factory labor headcount by at least one full-time operator per shift.
The VihoX 800 inline scrap crusher integrates seamlessly with our primary manufacturing machines:
An optical or dancer-arm loop sensor senses web sag between machines, automatically modulating the inverter traction motor speed to maintain smooth, continuous sheet entry.
The standard 5.5 kW blower conveys regrind flakes through 100 mm stainless steel tubing up to 35 meters horizontally and 10 meters vertically.
Unlike offline crushers with open hoppers, the inline unit features a sealed soundproof housing with labyrinth acoustic seals, allowing quiet operation directly adjacent to packaging stations.
The 6 rotating and 4 fixed knives are manufactured from vacuum-hardened DC53 cold-work alloy steel, providing exceptional edge sharpness and impact resistance.
Yes. Standard wiring includes reciprocal safety relays: if either machine encounters a fault or emergency stop, both lines stop synchronously to prevent web jams.
The pneumatic pinch cylinder can be released instantly via a manual pneumatic valve, allowing operators to clear sheet misfeeds in seconds.
The machine incorporates cutting motor (11 kW), blower (5.5 kW), and traction drive (1.5 kW), operating on 380V / 50Hz 3-phase power with total connected load of approx. 18 kW.
Every inline unit undergoes continuous 4-hour test running with real thermoformed skeleton webs in our workshop to verify traction synchronization and blower evacuation.
